Reproducing art from your originals not only requires a printer with a "good eye", but a printer with the right equipment, the right media and a wealth of hands-on experience.
SpeedproDFW is able to offer Giclee printing to artists for reproduction of artwork or art prints. This is an alternative to lithography, which can be a super costly venture for most artists. Historically, artists have had to purchase hundreds to thousands of prints. Couple that with the setup costs for lithography and the investment is prohibitive. |
SpeedproDFW is opening the world of “limited prints” to virtually every artist, by allowing for low volume, high quality reproduction. An artist can order 6-12 prints and pay a fraction of what they would have otherwise.
Art Prints & Enlargements
The term Giclee (“zhee-clay”) - French meaning "to spray ink" - has become synonymous with the technology we use to reproduce fine art. The Giclee pre-press process starts by digitally scanning your original art or transparency, then cleaning and color correcting the image and finally printing color proofs on the media you have chosen for your actual print. We utilize our six-color 52inch Roland printer for producing Giclees. The result of our Giclee process is a beautiful, archival reproduction printed with UV resistant, inks on your choice of digital fine art papers or art canvas.
The longevity of our Giclee prints may be in excess of 100 years as reported by Wilhelm Imaging Research. |
